Farid Shahid Farhat is a Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology graduate, with a Master of Architecture (MArch) degree. He is a junior partner and the Head of Visualization at studiored. He has undertaken extensive research into alternate living forms for the elderly, culminating in a six-month course in the Faculty of Inclusive Design at the Frankfurt University of Applied Science in Germany. He has a keen interest in the tools and technology that facilitate the design process. His experience working with Building Information Modelling and Alternate Reality technology as tools for design collaboration and presentation is paramount to his role as Head of Visualization and the BIM Manager within the practice. He has championed the 'Virtual Experience', a virtual reality presentation model, during his time working within the architecture industry in Ghana.
Farid Farhat’s film, Picture This, is a fascinating exploration of the topic of ageing and architecture in Accra.
